How it works
A real business experience for young entrepreneurs
When Life Gives You Lemons introduces students to entrepreneurship through hands-on product creation, budgeting, marketing, and selling. Instead of only learning concepts through lectures, students work through the process of building a real product, pitching for material funding, and preparing to sell at a final expo.
Learn the Basics
Students are introduced to entrepreneurship, product development, budgeting, marketing, and sales.
Build a Product
Students brainstorm, test, and build products with guidance from student mentors and volunteers.
Pitch for Funding
Students may earn up to $100 in material funding through budget proposals and pitches.
Sell at the Expo
Students sell their products at the final Lemonade Expo and keep profits earned from their sales.
No risk for students. If a student receives material funding and does not break even, they are not expected to pay back the funding. Students keep profits only.
Safe environment. Sessions are held in a supervised educational environment at Oxford Academy.

The Lemonade Expo
A real expo. Real customers. Real sales.
At the end of each camp, students present and sell the products they created during the program. Families are encouraged to attend, support the students, and bring cash to purchase student-made products.
