Who can apply?+
Any rising 6th–9th grader may apply.
Is the program free?+
Yes. The program is completely free.
Do students need business experience?+
No. A major reason this program exists is to spark new interest and introduce younger students to the business field.
What will students do?+
Students will learn entrepreneurship basics, brainstorm product ideas, build products, create budget proposals, pitch for material funding, and sell at the final Lemonade Expo.
How does material funding work?+
Students may earn up to $100 in material funding through budget proposals and pitches. If students receive funding and do not break even, they are not expected to pay it back. Students keep profits only.
Where is the camp located?+
Oxford Academy, 5172 Orange Ave, Cypress, CA 90630.
When does the camp meet?+
Camp sessions meet from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the listed meeting days.
What is the Lemonade Expo?+
The final showcase where students sell the products they created during camp. Families are encouraged to attend and bring cash to support student businesses.
Who is running the program?+
The program is led by David Hwang, Edric Kim, and Erin Ha — three rising juniors at Oxford Academy. The project is funded, supported, and trained through the Dragon Kim Foundation, a nonprofit that helps young leaders carry out community-minded projects.
